Mason Posner
Ashland University Professor of Biology
I have been at Ashland University since 1999 and work with undergraduate research students using the zebrafish to study eye lens development, biology and the formation of cataract, the leading cause of human blindness. I have been fortunate to have NIH R15 funding to support this work since 2002. I also serve as an academic editor for the open access journal PeerJ and encourage everyone to consider us for publication of their zebrafish research. I received my BA in Biology at the University of Virginia and my PhD in Marine Biology from the University of Southern California. My post-doc was at Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA Medical School.
